Code Compliance/Safe Neighborhoods is a vital aspect of our City for safety and appearance in neighborhoods and business districts. The City's Code Compliance/Safe Neighborhoods Division enforces codes and ordinances that cover signage, overgrowth, junk, inoperable vehicles, improperly parked vehicles and substandard housing.
The staff works closely with citizens, operating under the belief that City residents deserve to live in neighborhoods where quality-of-life issues are met and monitored.
Code Compliance/Safe Neighborhoods requests can be submitted through the Access Winter Haven platform. Alternatively, the online portal allowing citizens to report a violation and check on the status of open cases, TRAKiT, is available. Both are a great way to give our citizens the ability to review any Code questions from the comfort of their home. TRAKit is exclusively for code compliance, while Access Winter Haven also provides the ability to report other issues such as potholes, damaged signs, or general suggestions.
The City of Winter Haven Code Enforcement Special Magistrate Hearings are held the third Thursday of each month at 9 am, at City Hall, 451 3rd Street NW.
