Overview

Our customers within the City limits of Winter Haven will have blue and green containers. If your garbage container is gray and recycle container is black, you are serviced by the County.  Please contact Polk County Solid Waste and Recycling at 863-284-4319. Check whether your address is within the city limits and on which days your scheduled collection is.

Solid Waste & Recycling Account

Solid Waste and Recycling services begin when Water Services are turned on at your home. Service is stopped when Water Services are turned off at your home.

  • Residential Services are provided once a week with automated garbage collection, automated recycling collection, and yard waste collection.
  • Bulk Junk Collection is an a la carte service for household items that are too large to fit inside your garbage container. You will need to call or schedule pick-up of items using Access Winter Haven.
  • Commercial Dumpster Services are provided using 2-cubic yard up to 8-cubic yard containers. Depending on your requirements, collection can be from one to six times per week.
  • Roll-Off Container Services can be provided for large construction projects producing construction and demolition debris.
