NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING(S) 

CITY OF WINTER HAVEN

 

 Notice is hereby given that at its Regular City Commission Meeting, the Winter Haven City Commission will hold FIRST READING(S) - PUBLIC HEARING(S) on the proposed ordinance(s) at 6:00 p.m. or soon thereafter Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at City Hall in the John Fuller Auditorium, 451 Third Street, NW, Winter Haven, Florida 33881 at which time the City Commission will consider its adoption into law.  All interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed ordinance(s):

 ORDINANCE NO. O-25-28

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WINTER HAVEN, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A MILLAGE RATE TO PROVIDE SUFFICIENT FUNDS FOR PROJECTED EXPENDITURES OF THE 2025-2026 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET OF THE CITY OF WINTER HAVEN, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

 ORDINANCE NO. O-25-29

AN ORDINANCE MAKING APPROPRIATIONS OF FUNDS FOR DEFRAYING THE EXPENSES OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF WINTER HAVEN FOR FISCAL YEAR, 2025-2026, ADOPTING THE BUDGET OF THE CITY OF WINTER HAVEN, FLORIDA, FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 2025 AS THE OFFICIAL BUDGET OF THE CITY OF WINTER HAVEN, FLORIDA, FISCAL YEAR 2025-2026; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Copies of the proposed Ordinances may be inspected by contacting the City Clerk’s office at 863-291-5627. If any person decides to appeal any decision made by the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at such hearing(s), he/she will need a record of the proceeding(s) and for such purpose he/she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based (F.S. 286.0105). Please be advised individuals must make their own arrangements to produce this record.

 The City Commission may continue the public hearing(s) to other dates and times as it deems necessary.  Any interested party shall be advised that the date, time and place of any continuation of these or continued public hearing(s) may be announced during the hearings and that no further notices regarding this matter may be published.

 If you are not fluent in English and need language interpreter assistance to participate in the proceeding, please contact the City Clerk’s Office at least four (4) days prior to the meeting.  In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and F.S.S. 286.26, persons with disabilities needing special accommodations to participate in this proceeding should contact the City Clerk at least 48 hours prior to the proceeding at (863) 291-5627 for assistance; if hearing impaired, telephone the Florida Relay Service Numbers (800) 955-8771 (TDD) o (800) 955-8770 (Voice) for assistance.
