Winter Haven, Florida is a
unique, Premier City. It has countless recreational, social and special events;
it has a robust and diverse economy; and it is centrally located, between two
major metropolitan areas. Winter Haven has year round recreation weather; 50
lakes with 24 connected by a system of canals, which was constructed in the
1920’s; a theme park (Cypress Gardens Adventure Park – Florida’s first theme
park); beautiful municipal parks with unique sculptures displayed in them; great
restaurants; and a new 32,000 square foot state-of-the-art Library. Winter Haven
continues to experience steady growth. The City recognizes the importance of a
high quality of life to Winter Haven residents and strives everyday to meet the
needs of its citizens and visitors.

The City of Winter Haven has a new program to offer prescription drug
savings to residents who have no health insurance, a traditional benefits plan
or have prescriptions that are not covered by insurance.
The Prescription Discount Card is made available FREE to residents by the City
of Winter Haven in collaboration with the National League of Cities (NLC) and is
made possible through the City of Winter Haven’s membership in NLC.
