Dale Smith grew up in Winter Haven and was appointed City Manager Jan. 25, 2010.
Starting out as City Engineer and serving later as Public Works Director, over his 31-year career with the City he has also served as interim City Manager, Special Projects Manager and most recently Assistant City Manager.
He is married to Marcia and has one daughter and a son.
